The frescoes that adorn the Interior and especially the outer walls of the monasteries are unique in the world and they bring to mind Michelangelo's famous phrase "the fresco is the most daring and difficult method to paint"! The next step will be the regions of Maramures, where like in no other part of Europe, are preserved customs and traditions, as well as religion and architecture of the wooden churches. Among the most important and famous wooden churches we will visit those of Barsana, the commune, Poienile, Bogdan Voda and Ieud which are also world heritage sites. Departure with the purpose of visitng the monasteries of Moldovita, Sucevita, Humor, Voronet (the Sistine Chapel of the East), monasteries included in world heritage site by Unesco because of the particularity of the frescoes that cover the outer facades of the churches and their theme colors. We will leave to Maramures, a region situated in the extreme north of Romania, where lie the ancient and intact traditions, where farmers work the land with old instruments and still wear traditional clothes. We will visit the ancient wooden churches of 300 years Unesco world heritage with plant-based frescoes: Barsana, Botiza, Rozavlea, Bogdan Voda and Ieud. Especially the monastery of Barsana, authentic marvel with its church built entirely of wood (the second tallest wooden church in the world). Departure to the city of Hunedoara to discover the wonderful Corvinilor Castle, the largest castle in Romania. After visiting the castle we drive to Sibiu. In the morning walk in the historic centre of Sibiu and departure to Curtea De Arges; on our way we will visit the beautiful Cozia monastery dating from the 14th century. To avoid penalties, for the cancellation of reservations you must notify in writing, by email at click here. com and by phone at +39-348-3201647with an advance of 2 days prior to departure. If the reservation is cancelled before the beginning of the tour the client has the full refund of amounts paid.
